Owner, Financial Advisor

After spending more than 10 years in the world of corporate finance, Kristen felt a strong desire to help, serve and make a difference in her community. She turned her focus towards helping women gain their financial independence and build wealth. Kristen believes that all women, young and old, can make the right financial decisions with the proper knowledge and commitment.

After holding finance positions with several Fortune 500 companies in Washington D.C., San Francisco and Denver, she returned home to Pennsylvania to join SLA Financial.  During her time on board, SLA Financial won the 2016 and 2017 Best of West Chester Award in the category of Financial Planning.  Additionally, she has fostered the sponsorship of the local Girls On The Run program through the YMCA of Greater Brandywine.

Kristen grew up in West Chester, Pennsylvania and graduated from the University of Colorado Leeds School of Business with a degree in Finance and Human Resources. She still lends her time to the university mentoring women through the CU Professional Mentoring Program.

In addition, Kristen teaches Financial Finesse for Women and co-teaches The Divorce Course through the Chester County Adult Night School.  Kristen is the author of the column, Dollars and Sense, which hopes to educate and simplify some of the financial tools and terms used in the industry.

Kristen holds several securities licenses and is licensed in Life, Disability, Health and Annuities in the state of Pennsylvania. Kristen also holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™certification as well as the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® designation.

Away from the office, Kristen is the mother of two active teenagers. Most often she can be found at her children's gymnastics meets, soccer games, and tennis matches. In her free time she enjoys a good book and a long run.
